After years of very satisfactory car washes I decided to pay for an interior detailing.
I got our small SUV back and met my wife for lunch.
Afterward I inspected more carefully.
There were many poorly cleaned areas and the mats while clean were soaking with slippery silicone.
My radar detector mount was missing coins still on floor between the seats and many smudges in the easily accessible emptied rear hatch area.
The tailgate surround was still dirty.
So I returned. They found the missing parts not in the post detailing plastic bag but a pocket. The supervisor made numerous excuses and suggested that the "cargo" area was extra.
Too bad the sales guy didn't tell me everything is Ala carte and a crap job would follow for the money spent.
I'll get my car washed elsewhere from now on and pay someone else for a detailing where pride will be more evident. Sorry I tipped!
