Green Owl doesn't advertise as a caterer but I wanted a vegetarian wedding and was struggling to find caterers that offered vegetarian cuisine besides pasta and various meals with portabella mushrooms substituting for the meat dish. I asked them on a whim and they agreed. They were very casual and we usually had to remind them about deadlines and things but they got everything done we needed in the end and were very pleasant to work with. Unlike many catering companies, they were extremely accommodating with menu requests through the wedding planning process. They worked with us on the many ideas we had for the menu and also provided great suggestions. For instance, my (now) husband loves beets and wanted to add them into one of the dishes but we weren't sure it would go well. A few days later I got an e-mail from Jenny with an appetizer suggestion -- crostinis with goat cheese and heart-shaped roasted beets (get it? heart-beet! I uploaded a picture because they were so darn cute). They were a total hit at the wedding and super delicious. In fact, we got rave reviews on all the food from our guests. Prices were similar to other caterers but we think we got more bang for our buck than if we'd gone elsewhere (ex. way more variety on appetizers). If your wedding is 100 people or fewer, Green Owl can also provide dishware and glassware which was much more convenient than having to rent those from another company. Overall, we really enjoyed Green Owl and would definitely recommend them for your vegetarian/vegan catering needs!
