  • I cannot believe this company is still in business of roadside assistance/towing. I'm sure the bulk of their money is made from repossessions, because I personally wouldn't want the driver (who arrived 4 1/2 hours later than his original ETA) to show up to help my mother/sister/daughter/girlfriend/wife etc... He was rude, disrespectful, combative, condescending, and otherwise totally unprofessional. and this was BEFORE I declined his services. The reason for declining, is that neither myself nor the insurance company was able to get ahold of Charity for a significant amount of time after the original ETA. I initially called Charity for a new ETA, and the dispatcher assured me that the driver would call. That never happened. The insurance company had the same problem, and decided to call another company instead, offering a premium for them to prioritize our pickup. When the Charity driver finally arrived, his appearance was disheveled, and looked as if he may have been under some sort of drug or alcohol influence. Once I told him another company had been called, and his services were not needed, he insisted that he was still going to pick up the car. I had to physically get in front of the car to stop him at which point he began to curse and throw a fit, mumbling incoherent sentences and random curse words. I told him sternly to leave, and he began to walk towards his truck. He started driving erratically around the parking lot, finally finding the exit, and sped away. I couldn't imagine that being a loved one, or a person other than someone like myself (I'm an Army Veteran) handling that situation. I hope that these insurance companies finally take heed to these reviews and stay FAR away from hiring this company. Let the banks keep them, I'm sure unsavory repossession companies love Charity Towing.
