| - Stopped by on Friday after the Diamonbacks game with a friend who knew where the place was, I would have never found it on my own. You go down the stairs to a long narrow room, very dark with booths on one side and tall tables in the middle. There was only one girl handling service so she was swamped. We ordered two of the pastries from themenu, and a beer. The beer arrived. It took 30 minutes for the pastries and one of them was not what was ordered. The waitress apologized and took it back. We waited another 35 minutes for the correct one to arrive. By then the place was packed and so noisy that it was hard to hear. The manager came over an apologized, saying the waitress was doing her best but she was all alone on the floor. He said, and did, take one of the pastries off the bill. I told him it was not necessary but it was removed. Nice guy, with a goal to have a successful downtown restaurant, cannot fault him for that. The acoustics are bad as all the surfaces are hard and the sound just bounces off and around. Everyone there was having a great time, that is for sure. It is a popular place and seemed to have a loyal following. I am happy to see downtown businesses doing well. The food was OK, not much more. Seems this is a place to meet friends, have drinks, a bit of fool and a lot of loud, noisy conversation. I liked the place, but it is not for me, but for young folks, go and have fun.
