| - Disclaimer: I'm between flights and have little to NO time to write this review before I re-enter the land of NO YELP. Disgusting, I know. So this review is going to seriously lack the normal substance that I would've poured into a review. Which is sad, because this is a place of all places that deserves thorough reviews. Anyways..
This might be the closest thing to an actual 5 star place i have ever stayed in. I've stayed in Hiltons world wide. Always nice. I also have stayed at the Intercontinental in both Dallas and Tampa Bay, as I'm an IHG member, and it's there flag ship. Very nice indeed. This place though..... dude, WOW.
Pulled up tough and solo and tossed the keys to the valet. It's $30 per night, however the parking garage connected is $23 a night. I'll pay the $7 to have my car brought to me curb side.
Walked in, and wow... place was beautiful!! Oh, oops. Wrong place. This was the residences. Yea, you can also live here. Valet grabbed me by the collar and directed me to the other door and lobby little down the sidewalk.
Ok now I'm in the right place. WOW dude, this place is beautiful! Lovely lobby right on the street level. Check in was super fast and easy. Gave me my card key. Important to note: you need your card key to get the elevators to access certain guest room floors. Word. Card in hand. 9th floor. Off I go, solo.
Walked into the room, AMAZING. Couch. Closet. Big ass bathroom (ass opposed to narrow ass bathroom - cuz I'm fat). Fancy TV and ultra fat king bed! And street view .... why would I wanna see the street though? That's lame. But check.... directly across from, I mean directly (check the photos), is none other than Talking Stick Arena! Yea that's where the Phoenix Suns play! Huh? What do you mean so what? It's a western conference NBA team! Yes now you get it, that means they play the Golden State Warriors 4 times yearly... yeaaaa boo! Also, SAME block, the gigantic and lovely Chase Field! That's pro (MLB) baseball my good man! Americas pastime. This place, is legit a 5 star hotel by itself... but it's proximity to professional sports arenas is freaking amazing! Like walking distance? No try reach out your window and touch it distance. If y'all know me, you know how serious I am about sports, and this hotel is a sportsman paradise. I mean, its location that is.
That's not all. This place is located in what I believe is called "CityScape"? I'm talking the entire block is one giant building that includes the hotel, the residences, parking, like 4 restaurants ... seriously. I mean it is everything. There's even a word class gym there. Used to be Golds Gym? Maybe still is but I think it's Eos Fitness? Either way, if you stay at the hotel you get free access to that gym. And there was even ice skating there! Rooftop pools and bars! Like I could go on... but actually, no I can't. Flights boarding. Do me a favor - go stay here, and click on Yelp and look what's around you from shopping to bars to food. Start to count how many 4-5 star places are around that are LESS than 1 mile.. aka - waking distance! You'll be pleasantly surprised! Stay here.
Trust me, when the warriors are in town, I might be taking a 1 day pass (it's a 6 hr drive only from El Paso where I live) and getting in the car solo and doing a turn and burn to catch the game. Maybe I'll take my basketball if life loving buddy Erick, but he's a Knicks fan... disgusting.
