Saturday evening waited in line around 4pm, signed a waiver 30 minutes while still in line, got counted in with a group and paid for my ticket 10 minutes before 5pm. The front door is where the ushers explain to your group about the rules of photography and let you raise you right hand while reading out-loud in a group about the rules of the mansion. Theres a mini video with Zak interviewing people and their experiences as a bathroom buffer before the tour begins.
I loved everything about the tour and wished they did reserved night tours which we wouldn't clash into any other group in the house.
There is so much to look at and they did such a great job in setting up the room to give off the vibe and story line a more real effect for us to understand more about these objects. I enjoyed the circus room with all the wooden figures carved by hand was such a masterpiece with all the colors along with the tiger eating the boy was nice touch from Zak. Glad to see Zak share his nightmare with us in a mannequin installation chasing him with knives.
Loved learning new things with the heavy energy in the basement with necromancy artifacts found in the dirt from the stairway to hell back in the day. My favorite room was the glass incased Dybuk box which the salt is no longer perfectly angled and the sage is molding along with fresh holes found from the newly painted walls like something is trying to escape. I did not like the haunted mirror, that gave me the creeps and didn't want to even look into it because if the usher whispers to me not to look into it, I will definitely take that as a hint. The gift shop was fun to see a bunch of sage and healing stones to buy. Definitely would like a personal tour with Zak being the guide sometime soon.
