I have a very old, extremely beloved pet - she is featured in some of my profile pics on here I think. Anyway sweet Reidell woke up with a very swollen face. At 16.5 years old I was sure it was an abscessed tooth and we had a family agreement that at this late date, we won't put her through any kind of painful treatments that won't make much difference. We almost lost her last year and consider the past 18 months a huge blessing of borrowed time. So terrified that this might be the end, I called this vets office. Without knowing me from anyone, they made time for us in a packed schedule.
I won't drag it out. Reidell is still with us and going strong. She had a black eye from a small bump on the noggin the day before and is healing nicely.
The vet was very understanding and caring. His steel-table-bedside manner was excellent. Funny and comforting.
We will return and hopefully not for the last time. But if it becomes time, I would feel comfortable with this place. We have an accidental puppy now too so I supposed we will return for other routine visits.
