Truthfully if I (sinfully) indulge in dairy, I'm more of a gelato girl as a result of Zoe R re-introducing me to it courtesy of Artegelato's, but I happily ended up at Greg's one night for after dinner treats and the ice cream here did not dissappoint. I've only tried one flavour which was the mango and it was the creamiest dairy flavour infusion of mango ever, in fact I think Greg's claim to fame is that their ice creams are the "bomb-diggity" when it comes to intensity of creaminess.
Don't come here expecting bells and whistles and every type of colorful orgy of toppings under the sun, because Greg's is more of an ice cream purist's destination. Greg's is Lilliputian compared to other ice creameries. Not much here in the way of seating or ambiance either, save for the cute crayon drawings of ice cream made by school children posted up on the wall. One drawing in particular looked more like Mr Hanky than an ice cream cone, but I guess one person's Picasso is another man's Basquiat?
All-in-all Greg's is great excuse stop for ice cream (really REALLY creamy ice cream!) while promenading on Bloor.
