  • they can call this "progressive field," "allstate arena" or whatever other major-insurer-sports-venue they want, it will always be the jake to me. i had the very good fortune to go to a slew of indians games back in the 1997-2000, perennial post-season, record-setting attendance era and an opportunity to head back on a recent return trip to cleveland. i have to say, of all the sports venues i've been to, the jake is one of my favorites. a really beautiful and well-planned venue from its convenient location right in downtown cleveland to the toothbrush lights. good views from every seat i've ever been in, though, i have to say, the couple of games i was lucky enough to snag luxury boxes were definitely the best. we actually had a guy cutting up some roast beef and a whole turkey for us. the dessert cart was. the. bomb. even if you're running with the hot dog set, the jake offers a variety of eats, treats and bevvies to fill you up. of course, you pay typical stadium prices (read, you get gouged), but you knew that going in. there is ample parking in the area so you never have to go too far to get back to the ride.
