  • Everyone has their favorite coffee shop. And this one is mine. Sozo is a pleasant coffee shop with plenty of drink choices to offer. The staff is very friendly, especially the owner, and even the volunteers. I like that most of them will remember you if you go in more than once. For the repeat customers, they do have a punch card system for a free drink that is offered through their smartphone app. I don't remember if they still use the physical cards. Last I remember, they didn't, but I am not 100% sure on that. If not, I think they should. Options are good. The ambiance of Sozo is typical of what you'd find at a coffee shop, but yet slightly more "homey feeling." It is a very relaxing place where you can study or chat with friends, or just enjoy a drink for a few minutes. In between the drinks, you can enjoy the art that is found all around the walls, and you can even purchase a work or two. Thursday through Saturday, the vibes completely change and develop a high energy during the evenings when the live music happens. Sometimes, the place can get packed if a popular group is playing. Keep that in mind if you are planning on going. Overall, I have enjoyed every visit I have made, no matter what time. I have never had a single problem here, and I know everyone can enjoy it to some extent.
