  • We stayed at the Hilton while we were in town for my grandmas 88th birthday. It was perfect we got a suite so my fiancé and I could hang out in the other room once the kiddo went down. Couldn't have been happier with the set up. The only issues we had were with the bathroom. They clearly remodeled but they keep the original tub and toilet. The toilet was so loud and most of the time didn't flush even a little toilet paper down (took several flushes and waiting for it to reset). Had several issues with this during our stay. The toilet also had a mismatched tank cover which was too small (small safety hazard when you have kids). The shower had almost no water pressure, it was one of the worst showers I've had. The shower head was tiny and the shower itself was very dark. The bathroom lights were strange we wanted to keep the toilet area light on for the kiddo at night but the only way to do that was keep the bright lights on the sink area on. As soon as she opened the door everyone was awake. There is nowhere to hang towels or wet bathing suits!!! We are the type of people that reuse our towels especially since it's only a 3 night stay. We had to use anything we could find to hang the towels on (put some command hooks up at the very least!)The tub was huge and the kiddo loved it But the hardware was very old and didn't look very clean. They also had to cut the tile around the fixtures and it left some sharp edges (another safety concern). The beds were comfy and the kiddo loved the amount of pillows (5 year old approved, in fact she said her favorite thing about our vacation was the hotel). We were amazed that there weren't more outlets and I learned the hard way when you plug you phone into the lamp base to turn the lamp off manually rather than use the light switch on the wall because it cuts power to your phone. There is an ironing board and iron in our room, but I had to use it in the kitchen area because that was the only place I could find an outlet. It was awesome having a large fridge and a small kitchen (although we didn't use that much). Staff at the hotel were friendly. Pool was great, didn't use the sauna or steam room. The water in the pool was very foggy but the kiddo loved having a pool more or less to ourselves during the stay. My parents have some history at this hotel; when my mom and dad were married there whole family stayed here. My dad was swimming in the pool and said he was having dèjà vu of his whole family outside by the outdoor pool. Very happy, would absolutely return. I do not feel comfortable giving 5 stars due to safety concerns, the shower and the awful toilet, really the whole bathroom needs work. (I hope the few things mentioned get fix)
