We adopted our rescue puppy from this place and have nothing but good things to say. The staff and volunteers were kind and it was apparent they all care for the animals at the shelter.
In response to a few comments on here, I would point out that this is an animal rescue shelter not a well-funded chain pet store. They clearly do the best with what resources they have and manage to save numerous animals as a result of their efforts. Dogs & cats are sometimes surrendered/found with health issues resulting from neglect. These folks are tasked with treating these animals until they're well enough to go to a loving home. I understand my paying an adoption fee goes towards funding the medical care/feeding of the animals waiting for homes and it's reimbursement of some of the cost for the care of my own new pet. With that said, I'm happy to have contributed to helping other animals and for our sweet little dog.
