Toronto's most famous landmark and a must on any tourist's list of places to visit while in town, the CN Tower is the tallest freestanding tower in North America. Formerly the tallest in the world before 2009, the site attracts hordes of tourists every day, but mainly on weekends. Security is tight as tourists have to go through individual checks via air pressure machines due to the threat of terrorism, but otherwise the view from the top is amazing. There is a restaurant (360) and a cafe as well as several food stands upstairs, and the new SkyWalk attraction is must for anyone looking for the thrill of walking on top of the tower while wearing a harness for protection.
Visitors can avoid going on line by purchasing their tickets online at http://www.ticket-ops.com/ or at the CN Tower's official website.
