| - I did this with my family, all of whom are over the age of 25. We chose the Atelephobia experience because it was rated the scariest. We're all horror fans (and deeply saddened that we missed the Saw experience) and figured this would be the most fun for us. My sister psyched herself out so much before we even got in the room, we almost had to switch to Sherlock, but I put my foot down and we went ahead in to deal with Meredith.
Once locked in the room, you're left to figure out where to start. They tell you nothing, except a few minor tips (like how to work the locks, which, by the way, are a challenge unto themselves - even when I had the code right, i couldn't open them...luckily my brother could). They are clearly watching you because when we were obviously stumped, they would call us and ask if we wanted a hint.
There will come a time when one of you will have to separate from the group and go into a secret place to get something all alone. This is the scariest part of the game, but also the most fun. One of our group was so scared, she refused to go back there, but the rest of us did and thought it was an awesome addition to the game.
We talked about it for the entire rest of our trip. We had a blast doing it and would love to do something like it again.
Oh - and no, we didn't make it out, but we were so close it hurt. Given another 60 seconds, we would have succeeded. Alas, Meredith waits for no one.
Highly recommended!
