So I have been holding off on my review for Platform because I think it deserves the best review a Yelper can give. After one of my recent trips to another city, I appreciate the value of engaging in conversation with other locals and bartenders more. Platform is the epitome of this experience. The staff is phenomenal meaning they are personal. They get to know the type of beer-drinker you are (and if you don't know what you like then they make sure that you find out together), and they look like they enjoy their job. So many bartenders are sprinting behind the bar that you feel 'Johnny-on-the-spot' pressured to pick a beer as quickly as possible as not to delay them.
Okay enough rant; the beers here are by far my favorite in all of Cleveland. Deep breath- Yes, I did just say that after being a regular at Sam McNulty's establishments for so many years. The unique selection of bottles and tasty home brews are suitable for any palate. The atmosphere is urban, like many new breweries, but I like the added touch of incorporating local food vendors daily. Comedy night, trivia night, and a large patio with seating make this a perfect pick for any night of the week (except Sundays!). It is a very short bike ride from Market Garden, Great Lakes, etc. They have 'growler hours' and offer a discount on growler fills. They have $1 off all drafts during the standard happy hour weekly too. There is bike parking and street parking available. I have never had a problem with finding car parking either. 5 stars! A Cleveland-must try.
