My dog was boarded at sunridge Animal Hospital over the weekend for 2 days. Perfectly fine and healthy when I dropped her off. When I picked my up I was told by the guy that brought her out that she was peeing blood. I made an appointment for the next morning to get her checked out by the vet, which I had to take the day off from work for. The vet did an ultra sound to find rule out stones. Thank goodness there were not any, and she was diagnosed with a bladder infection. During my conversation with the vet he mentioned that some dogs that are boarded don't like to pee or poop on rocks so they "hold it in". I live in an apartment complex that's all desert landscape with stones and my dog does her business just fine. I feel like that they didn't take my dog out to do her business frequently enough during the day and she was forced to "hold it in" and developed the bladder infection. No phone call either after it happened, which would have been nice so I didn't have to take off work. In total I donated $290 (boarding plus cost to treat infection. They suck!
