There's lots of competition in the Japanese sushi scene in Calgary and few places that remain unique and stand out.
Unfortunately, although this place was busy, the service was relatively quick and the food good, it is not exceptional.
Cleanliness is always at the top of my list when reviewing new places and this one got knocked down a star because of the condition of the washrooms and general upkeep of the restaurant. I especially did not like seeing the chit papers (from the orders) ON the food before it was going out. Three Sushi Chefs were busy and were all preparing ingredients that seemed fresh and tasted good. The Happiness Roll was the best out of the 3 rolls we ordered. The miso soup was also very good, but small. We did not ask for dessert.
Dinner for 2 for around $45 including tip.
