  • Pugoween is coming up so I took my dog Alfie to Dogfather today - an adorable little shop (with the best name ever!) in Rosedale. Seeking a costume that would beat out any Toronto pug for first prize at this strange costume party I was disappointed that the closest thing to a costume that they had was a knitted sweater with a skull and crossbones. The owner was very helpful though, telling me that if I wanted my dog to dress up as a bride or groom he would be happy to take his measurements and put in an order because they often have customers whose dogs are in their weddings. I didn't want to spend the amount it would probably cost me to buy my own Vera Wang dress on my pug's Halloween costume, despite the importance of the situation, so I politely declined. Nonetheless, if you are in the market for a doggie indulgence or a special gift for a pet lover, this is the place to go.
