These people are definitely in it for money and nothing else. Went in a for my first visit/six month cleaning and check up. The dentist asked me if all my fillings were new before he told me I needed 7 fillings and a crown. The hygienist was extremely rough my mouth hurt for days after! And I didn't even get a cleaning! (I normally love going to the dentist!) She told me I had periodontal disease and need a special laser treatment and cleaning! She wasn't very helpful in answering my questions as to how could my teeth have gotten so bad so quickly! Could it be caused by medication? As six month prior I had a fantastic check. Needless to say I left in tears out of fear I was going to lose my teeth, if these issues weren't addressed right away! She also told me if left untreated I would get heart disease! Talk about using scare tactics. They said it would cost 2500$ after my insurance! As most insurances don't cover the laser! All this was a huge shock my old dentist said everything was great! I decided to drive 4 hours to my old dentist, for a second opinion. (only left her office because we moved out of state.) So glad I went back! Both the dentist and hygienist were very thorough in my exam, after I told them my previous diagnosis. Both said everything looked great and I had nothing to worry about! Showing me pictures and explaining at length what those treatments were for and why I didn't need them. Providence dental was awful and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone! After everything was over I was reading reviews and noticed multiple patients had to get the deep cleaning the hygienist told me I would have to have! Looks fishy to me! My hope is in writing this review other see it, and do t get scared or bullied into treatments they don't need!
