| - I buy flowers a lot. Since my mother is a musician, on average, I order at least five large-scale performance bouquets a year. This past year, our local florist even gave my family a tomato plant to express their thanks haha.
A few months ago, I had an extremely urgent situation that required the delivery of two bouquets in the Toronto area. After a quick Yelp search, I stumbled upon Victoria and Julia's Flowers, Inc. Given my past experience with florists, I imagined that this would be impossible to do on such short notice, over a weekend, calling in the late afternoon -- do florists, nay Canadians, even work on the weekends? (Joke! That was a joke! They are usually open both Saturday and Sunday!)
But to my surprise, a kind professional named Robert answered the phone on the second ring. And over the course of that weekend (Saturday AND Sunday), Robert, Suzette, and I exchanged countless phone calls and emails in which they helped me put together the arrangements that I needed. Plus, it wasn't just any ordinary weekend, this was a HOLIDAY weekend (which I wasn't aware of at the time) bc they had to make sure they could find a courier available and willing to do the delivery!
For everything I put them through, I am eternally grateful for Suzette, Robert, the courier who delivered my flowers, and everyone at Victoria and Julia's Flowers, Inc. I am touched by their commitment to their customers, their shop, and their craft. They are truly one-of-a-kind and there's not one like it anywhere (not one I've ever encountered in the US, that's for sure). If I ever need flowers delivered in Toronto again, Victoria & Julia's Flowers, Inc. is without a doubt my #1 choice!
