  • Mardi Gras is a fun place. Its definitely got a different vibe from most of the other places in the Walnut Street area. The drinks are reasonably priced and the bar service is good. It is definitely the most "dive-y" place in the neighborhood, so just go in with that expectation. As long as you're not turned off by the heavy cigarette smoke smell and the dark interior, its a good place to get a drink and meet up with friends. I also like the traditional bar feeling. Without a doubt, I'd say it has the most character of any bar in the Walnut Street neighborhood.
