| - Avoid this place like the plague, sars, bird flu, take your pick, but don't give this place your hard earned money. We'll never come back!! This review is from the past two days.
Just got here for staycation. Nice place but they sure set the tone for an irritating visit by charging $5 for a popsicle for the kids at their 4th of July bounce house function. I get charging more than retail for the convenience, but that pissed me off something fierce. A 2,000% markup is a bit extreme you greedy bastards!
When we got to our room the first thing I noticed is a tablet pc pointing at the bed next to the tv. Those tablets have cameras in them!!! I unplugged it, flipped it down and covered it up. That seems so weird to me that a hotel would put a camera inside your room. I'm sure if we asked, they would say it's disabled, but it only takes one disgruntled sys admin to activate and record. I'm sure they call it a "feature" but I don't trust it, especially after being here a couple days.
Tried to go to the pool bar at 9:55 pm since they close at 10. Of course, they had already packed up. Yup, my irritation continues.
We stuck a couple drinks in the mini bar fridge. Housekeeping locked it and I'm guessing left our drinks inside, they aren't anywhere to be found! What a bunch of a holes!
#update: When my wife called and complained the fridge has been locked, someone showed up with a key within about 5 minutes. That's not enough to bump this up to 2 stars, but fair is fair. We'll see if we get charged now. Looking at the fridge, I'm not sure if someone locked it after, or if nobody shut it before since it looks like it auto locks.
The shower lost pressure several times during a single shower to the point I thought someone was turning it off on me. Maybe they busted me using my own soap and shampoo??
I was going to up this to a 2 star rating because there is a twisty water slide the kids liked at the pool, but after all that other crap, no way. This place is 1 star all the way.
Sorry this is so long and there is an abundance of exclamation points, but these greedy bastards deserve every one and more! (Okay, one last exclamation to show my hatred of these people)
One last thing. This room is supposed to be 2 queen beds, I can't say they aren't, but they seem really small to me. When I finally get to leave this place I'll measure it against my daughter's full sized mattress. I marked my phone charger cable so I have a reference.
