I've been meaning to try this places since it opened.
I must say that I'm a little disappointed......:( I mean who wouldn't want a great ramen place less then 5 minutes from your house? So.... When I went I was excited but disappointed with my first bite. :(
I got their hot green tea. It was pretty decent. But then again how can u mess up green tea?? OK traditional matcha tea is a whole different story...... Lol (4/5)
I got their onigiri as an app... It looked pretty... But the flavor was non existent. The daikon was salty salty salty...(2/5) but it helped the onigiri that was bland bland bland....:/ together they were OK... But the crab mix just had no flavor and the rice was overcooked so that it was on the mushy side and I'm sorry but who wants mushy rice in their onigiri?? (2/5)
I also got their tonkatsu shoyu.... And I know that shoyu is a Japanese soy sauce.... But still there should have been more balance in flavor. It was just salty salty salty. I'm seeing a trend here. Too much salt and not enough other flavors. It was not balanced at all. Did I eat it? Yes I did.... I was starving. :/ but did I enjoy it... Sadly no....:(
Service was ok seeing as how I was the only person there. :) but I still had to ask her for a refill on my tea (4/5)
Ambiance.... It was cute. Same layout as when it was Rice Traxx but better decorations! :) (5/5)
Will I return... Most likely no... I would rather drive to Jinya or to other ramen places in the Chinatown area.
