rev:text	Bike stores can be some of the worst to shop, but Bike Tek is a happy exception. Years ago, I came in with my 20 year-old hybrid in need of repair. I wasn't sure whether I wanted to fix my old one or buy a new one, and I expected a hard sell, but got nothing of the sort. Frank and Angelo let me test ride as many bikes as I wanted even though I told them up front I wasn't planning to buy just yet. When I decided to get the old one fixed they cheerfully did a great job. When my hybrid was stolen from my unlocked (oops) garage, I went back to Bike Tek and bought a touring bike I'm in love with. They listened to me talk about what I wanted and found the right bike for me at a very good price. They made sure it fit me and reminded me that I was entitled to 6 mos. free maintenance on the bike. I have taken advantage of it, popping in nearly once a week. I worried about them getting annoyed, but to the contrary, they've been great. Cory is a mechanic who's helped me a lot and his knowledge of bikes is impressive, but he never makes me feel stupid, even after he has to undo bad adjustments I've made on the thing. Chris and Chris have also been helpful; Frank continues to make sure I have anything I need, and Angelo (who I call "The Bike Whisperer") has handled some tough problems, including a bent fork when I backed my new bike into a U-Haul while using a hitch-mounted rack for the first time. He made it good as new, to my great relief. I would recommend Bike Tek to anyone, expert, novice or in between. They have excellent bikes, a knowledgeable and friendly staff, a great owner and are committed to their customers before and after they buy their bikes.
