  • There are A LOT of donut shops in Charlotte. I think Your Mom's Donuts is the best in the Queen City! I've only been to their store in Mathews once; we get the donuts when they come to Uptown one morning per week outside of 3WF on Tryon. The storefront is cute inside and has a good amount of seating. There were a lot of people having coffee and donuts at 9 am on a weekday. The Uptown food cart is small, but I've never seen them out of donuts and they have a lot of flavors. Now to the donuts: The flavors are original and so delicious! The dough is made fresh and is never too doughy/cakey. The BEST is the bread pudding donut. It's huge and can easily feed 2. The texture is just like bread pudding. I'm obsessed. The strawberry donut is a crowd favorite. It's light, has excellent flavor, and something different than the usual chocolate characters. We've probably tried 10+ of their flavors (our office cuts them into 1/4s so we can mix and match) and all of them have been great:
