  • Wife and I came here for our anniversary from Sunday - Wednesday (November 5-8) and had a meh experience, hence the 3 star review. For you Cliffs Notes folks (pros - great location and nice casino, cons - poor customer service, had to call every day to get maid service). Here are more details on the pros and cons: PROS 1. As others have mentioned, great location 2. Burgundy rooms are nice (ours was well appointed and clean) 3. Casino is nice and clean and not too smoky compared to others 4. Express check out process with the machines was quick and painless (checked out in under 3 minutes). Just enter your room number, select whether you want your receipt e-mailed to you or printed out, drop off your keys, and you are done. CONS 1. Staff do not seem to care very much about customer service. 1a. Check-in desk staff. Went to the check-in desk and mentioned that it was our anniversary and that we were hoping for a room overlooking the strip. No response. No "congratulations" or "thank you for spending your anniversary with us." Figured we were there during an off period and in the middle of the week staying from a Sunday to Wednesday so our chances would be good, but we were told none of those rooms were available. 1b. Wait staff at the buffet. Went to the Paris buffet only one time. We were seated in one of the side rooms with only one waitress for 6 tables of about 30 people. We got one drink and then the waitress never came back to our table. I asked the two tables next to us and none of them received any drinks or service after drink #1 either. I went to ask the hostess for help. To her credit, the hostess did get us drinks, but there was no report to management about the other tables with the same issues and no apology. No one came over to check on the tables next to us. 1c. JJ Boulangerie cafe. Rude staff again. Wife and I each wanted the $10 special of 2 pizza slices and one drink. We told the woman that we wanted 2 of those specials for 4 pieces total. My wife started her order, but never got to finish. The woman looked down and grabbed various slices, started walking over to the carrryout counter and told us to order at the register. We waited in line to reach the register to order and then the first woman came back with 4 pieces of pizza and insisted that we had ordered those slices. We told her that we had not ordered because she had told us to go to the register to order, but she insisted we were wrong. The first woman eventually walked away and everyone in line asked us what was happening so it definitely seemed odd. Again, the woman at the register did not apologize or act like this outburst was weird. We did not get into a big argument or anything, but it was definitely bizarre and seemed to keep in line with our poor customer service experience with every other part of the Paris hotel. 2. Maid service was very slow. We were there for 3 nights and had to call every single day to have maid service come to our room. We were gone from about 10:00 - 10:30 a.m. to 4:00 - 4:30 p.m. every day so they definitely had enough time. 3. No option for a late checkout. Normal checkout time is 11:00 a.m. We asked for one extra hour to check out at noon on a Wednesday and were told that option was not available. Really? On a Wednesday in November?
