  • First of all, I do not know why one would suggest for people to ignore certain reviews (as suggested by another individual who submitted an earlier review). What is the point of reviews if certain ones are to be ignored? Idiotic. Anyways, I should have gotten the hint when I had to deal with the front office workers for organizing my sub-lease contract. Yes, they are very nice but it was a headache when I asked them any in-depth question concerning the lease. They are pretty ill-informed. But I do not expect anything less from a college student worker. What bothered me was the fact that the workers at the front office act so relaxed to the rules but it is not them who have to enforce the rules. It is the managers. Follow the rules or you will get fined, regardless of what the front office workers say. The tour of the complex was appealing. They showed all of their selling points: pool, pool table, media room, gym, tanning bed, and an example apartment that I am sure has not been used once. The gym is crap. You are very limited in the amount of exercises you can do. The model room was in pristine condition, which caused a surprise when I entered my actual living accommodations. The room you will actually stay in is pretty beating up. Not what they show on the tour. Also, they say it is a college residence which I have not seen to be true. The majority of people I have seen throughout the halls and in the pool are families, adults and children. Roosevelt Point is definitely way too expensive for what you get. $820 for a two bedroom. And yes, it is nice that you have your own kitchen and washer dryer, but not when there is a cap on your electricity usage. It is inevitable that you will surpass the cap and have to pay an extra $30+ dollars per roommate per month. When you do pay rent, you better have cash or a check. If you pay with card online you be charged a ridiculous service fee somewhere around $30 per payment. So dumb. Their maintenance service is efficient but under poor circumstances. I had to get my room sprayed for possible bed bugs/ other insects. I woke up on most mornings with a new bite somewhere on my body. Construction is definitely a disturbance. Find a different living accommodation. You will regret living here.
