  • If I could give no stars I totally would. My experience started when our water heater failed. The bottom had rusted out so we contacted our home warranty company which unfortunately is HSA. This is our first claim ever with the company and since they are affiliated with A&R, The problem just got worse. I called the warranty company they put me in touch with A&R to come out and look at it. On day two they came out looked at it and said it would have to be replaced and that he would submit the invoice to HSA for approval. Now mind you this is 1 PM on a Friday afternoon so he said HSA wouldn't take a look at it until Monday morning. Fast forward to 8am Monday (Day 5) of which I called HSA to check the status and expedite the process. HSA says that they have received no invoice yet and that they were going to call the vendor to get a assessment and probably call me back in 20 minutes. By 5 PM I received no call. The very next day I called them to check the status and they said the replacement had been approved and that they would "ship" a new water heater to the vendor for installation and that the vendor would call me once it had arrived to schedule an installation date. It is now the following Sunday (Day 10) and I have received no call from either company and remain without hot water. Why somebody would have to ship a water heater cross country when there are 10 home-improvement stores within a 10 mile radius of my house, all of which have water heaters, is beyond me. If you're smart you would avoid doing business with not only this company but HSA Home Warranty's as well.
