| - My wife and I stayed in this hotel for 4 nights and we whole-heartedly recommend staying in this hotel.
Breakfast:
The hotel offers excellent breakfast, not the cheap kind. The breakfast contains eggs, fried potatoes, meat, cereal, oats, really good coffee, tea, delicious tropical fresh fruits, bread and other condiments like butter jam etc. The breakfast room is spacious and peaceful.
Room:
The first 3 nights we stayed in a Studio Room Superior with 1 double bed, the room/bed/sheets/towels were clean. The studio had big windows extending wall-to-wall viewing Rue Berri, plenty of sunshine and I like the room bright.
The room has a kitchenette - including a stove. If you are staying longer and would like to cook in the room then there are pots, pans, knives, cutting board, plates. You can buy groceries in a supermarket and cook your own lunch/dinner in the room. The hotel is very thoughtful in that the room even had detergent to clean the vessels. We cooked for 3 nights avoided eating out everyday.
Parking:
The hotel offers underground self-parking for $20 CAD a night. This is comparable to parking on the street which would cost $36 from 9am to 9pm on weekdays (5cents per minute). When it snows the underground parking is very convenient. Parking is available on the 2nd an 3rd levels and plenty of spots made it easy for us to find a spot everyday. They offer in and out privileges for the parking lot.
Wifi:
The wifi is free and fast and I worked throughout my stay here and I had no issues connecting to my VPN which requires high-speed internet.
Location:
This hotel is in a great location, 10min walk to Chinatown, 20min walk to old Montreal, is perpendicular to Rue St Catherine and Rue Rene Levesque.
The last night we shifted to a smaller room with 1 double bed. This room although smaller had all the conveniences of the studio room we previously stayed in. Just lesser space but just as convenient.
The hotel room prices are affordable and totally worth the cost. I would definitely stay in this hotel on my future visits to Montreal.
The only con: the treadmill in the gym was broken but Montreal is beautiful to walk so I decided to exercise out in the open instead.
