  • I believe Dr. Rudgear herself is a very knowledgeable, good doctor. but other than your first one or two initial appointments you never see her anywhere in the office. You are assigned to one of her nurse practitioners for future appointments. I had been seeing NP Christy Kutz for most of my over ten years as a patient at this office. On my last visit there she sent my compound prescription electronically so I never personally got to see it. My pharmacist questioned the changes and placed a call to the doctor's office, which never was returned by the end of the day. I was leaving town and needed the prescription filled and told him that a change had been made so he filled it. What I knew had been changed was the amount and days to use it, not that the prescription itself had major changes. After using this compound for nearly two months I noticed that I had lost all my hair at the temples and it was so thin on the top that the scalp was showing through my normally very thick hair. This prompted me to check the prescription label and saw that it was not for what i had been using for about ten years. I called the office to schedule with Dr. Rudgear. As a ten plus year established patient the first appointment I could get to see her was not for four months! I then wrote a letter to her and she called me the following day with a "reason" for every thing I brought up - including that the Pharmacist was not a doctor and should not be questioning the prescription changes. Needless to say I changed to an office where only the doctors see the patients and who made several changes to the care I had been receiving. Every day when styling my hair and seeing through it to the bare scalp I almost cry and am so angry at NP Christy Kutz for omitting a vital wording on my prscription and changing the dosage, both of which I feel caused the hair loss. I am upset, also, that Dr. Rudgear pretty much blew off everything I brought up, including the prescription change. Calls to this office are seldom, if ever, returned. I learned that the only way to speak to someone is to call the appointment desk or write a letter to the doctor, which I had to do twice over the years that I was a patient there in order to get any action. Even though I believe Dr. Rudgear is a knowledgeable doctor, would I recommend this office? Never.
