2003 xk8 convertible. Go here if you like mediocre service at best. Horrible service with no follow up, they could have made a ton of money off me but lazy sales agent didn't want to work for it. Details... I was there in June 2016, radiator hose leak.
They are over a week behind in service then, even though they allowed me to book online. Which was ok since by the time i got there the car was deadline anyway, as coolant was leaking in the heat of june.
I have one of those service warranties that will cover just about anything with a $250 deductible on paid my part. So i save up a list of annoyances and pay one deductible for when I "have to" go in to the shop.
While limping it in there, it stalled. Salesman told me the care was 3 quarts low on oil! and tried to sell me an oil change for nearly $200. i told them to top it off, but they never charged me for it..hmmm...
There was a problem with the visors which they needed replacement. they could only order one the other was not offered by Jaguar. they never looked for aftermarket and months later when i called to see if it was delivered andi found they never ordered the one they said was available.
i had a rattle when closing the door with the window down, he told me the insurance would not cover it because it was most defiantly the tracks and they wont replace. I called the insurance company and he never asked for diagnostic hours. so he could have confirmed the problem and gotten paid $145 an hour.
Btw they originally waned $165 and hour and claim was denied by the insurance company. They didn't negotiate as it is common with warranties. I had to call the warranty company and then ask them to come down to 145 an hr. They agreed its like they dont want to make any money.
back to the door. i asked them to call to authorize the drag and he would not. he was sure they wouldnt cover it. I gave up but had to open he door myself and found that the part needed was not the track but a plastic part that IS covered.
These people are not large enough to handle Jaguar since Gaudin lost the franchise to them. They almost seem like they would rather work on Land rover and get rid of the jaguar line. Give it back to Gaudin, please. they have handled my previous work to the greatest degree and even talked the warranty company into a $1000 transmission fluid change because of a service bulletin on that series. Are these people not in business to make money????
