The service call was through my home warranty service and for the garbage disposal that was grinding. It had been for a week. I flushed it with water repeatedly, put my hand it to determine if something was stuck in it, nothing seemed to work.
They gave me a four hour window (from 11am-2pm), I called them at 2:45Pm because they stated that they will call 15 minutes before arrival and I had heard nothing. The girl who answered the call said her service man was behind and would be here in a half hour. I asked if she had the gate code, she said no (long pause). Would you like it I asked - oh yes that would be good. An hour later I receive a call: I am at the gate and need the code.
The guy comes to the house, I turn on the disposal and as sure as the sun rides the the disposal clears itself. So not only did I waste five hours of my life waiting for this company, I was still charged the service call. I understand that he made the call, but give a guy a break.
My home warranty company is Old Republic and I have had horrible experiences with every vendor the use. Unbelievable!
