La Diperie allows you to be creative and customize how you'd like your cream to be served. Kids and ice cream lovers should really love this concept.
The ice cream is crème molle (vanilla soft ice cream) dipped in a flavor of your choice with a sprinkle of something of your heart's desire. You can even opt for a cone of your liking as well. The level of customization is pretty impressive, with the various dip options as well as condiments to sprinkle your creation you can be quite creative.
I opted for the caramel sale dip with graham crackers as my sprinkle of choice. I opted for the pastry cone as well,
Why live to 40?
Sadly, the pastry cone was stale and made the whole experience quite anti-climatic for me. The bottom of ice cream is usually the best part making your want more and since the cone was so stale it kind of put off trying this place again.
Didn't have a line-up when I went but they still took their sweet time to get my ice cream ready, close to 15 minutes. Are you guys for real?
While the ice cream itself was quite good, not ensuring your product is as fresh and clean as it needs to be and serving patrons as if you're working a summer job (even if it is) is not good. The ice cream market in Montreal is pretty competitive and things like this tend to speak for themselves.
