  • When I lived in Pittsburgh, I've always visited Prantl's. But those happy times are not the same. I'm not sure if it's a different owner/manager, but the quality is not as good. FOOD: I always get their Burnt Almond Torte which is what they're known for. It was good! We also got their Pecan rolls which were stale. The pecans had a bad smell and tasted AWFUL! I also got a bunch of cookies which were ok. Now I know what items to stay away from.
