Went to the Best Foot Spa for a second time with my good friend and sister who were visiting from California two weekends ago. We are not happy with the way that the massage therapists acted when when we each gave them $5.00 tips. They stood in line next to each other by us while the gentleman was taking our payments and when he asked how much we wanted to leave for tip, we said $15.00, $5.00 per person. He asked us two more times: "$5.00?!?!" $5.00?!?!" and when we kept saying yes to his stupid question, he uttered something to the therapists in their language and the therapists, all three of them, gave us irritated smirks and uttered very sarcastic "thank yous." Since when did giving a tip to massages become mandatory for us patrons who pay what the true cost is for the service that we have received? If they advertise a $22.00 foot massage, then that is what we patrons are prepared to pay, a tip is an addition if we want to give extra. Their actions made us feel inadequate and ungrateful when we did not do anything to be made felt that way by the staff. It was embarrassing too because I bragged about these guys to my guests. I will not be returning to this place at all because of the way that they handled themselves while I was giving them extra on top of what I had already paid for.
