Being early eaters, think grandma and grandpa early bird, we went at a spur of the moment. We were seated right away. My wife was grumpy because she wasn't expecting to come to the Esquire Club. But she changed her mind quickly. I'm more of a beer drinker, but my wife decided to try the old fashioned, which is why she changed her mind ;) . We ordered the fish fry, and while it can be hard to screw this up (I have experience fish fry fail!) this particular evening did not fail. The breading was good, properly seasoned, and portion size was respectable and satisfying. Despite being fried, it was not greasy. Service was great. John was courteous, funny and professional. I am a fan and so is my wife, and we will be back. We are eager to try prime rib night! Date night will be fun!
