Mattress Factory is a place that has artists live for a year and create site-specific art in various rooms of a building. Conceptually, it is brilliant. Execution-wise, it is also brilliant.
Sure, there are some ho-hum installations (rooms painted, projectors, wacky architectural things that are interesting to build but maybe not to look at), and there's some serious mind-blowing stuff.
The room of dots and sensory deprivation room have to be two of my favorite experiences in an art museum ever. I won't spoil anything. Go check out these things immediately.
