| - So I bought a dash cam back on Black Friday as a Christmas gift. The person I bought it for ended up getting a different dash cam, so I decided to return this one and buy them a different gift. Luckily, so I thought, Best Buy was running a promotion on Black Friday where they had a special extended return period, lasting until January 14th. I put it on the shelf with the intention of going back before that date but somehow I got confused and thought I had until the 15th. I procrastinated on returning the item until the 15th came and finally I realized I needed to stop procrastinating and bring it back. Brought it back to the store only to find out that the return window ended on the 14th! Now, instead of a cash refund, they'll only give me store credit. I understand it's my fault that I procrastinated and missed the deadline, but it's only 1 day! Plus the item I wanted to return was still unopened in the box, and I had the original receipt. I tried to ask the manager if he would make an exception for me as a courtesy. You'd think he'd be willing to do so in the interest of providing good customer service, but no, he refused. Now I have $100 in store credit that I have no use for, thanks a lot!
