  • This is a refreshing Harrisburg place to relax and enjoy. It is not a usual "hangout" with typical bar food. Items like hummus with red peppers, chicken caesar salads and bruschetta go hand in hand with the wines offered. This is not a burger and fried pickle place! (Thank goodness!) The staff has taken time to get to know me and my tastes and actually have recommended new wines for me to try! The bar itself has a very swanky uptown feel. The bar stools are comfy and have a bit of a back on them. Ladies, this place has the nicest purse hooks around. (Thank You Wine Down!) Yes, it is small, but intimate. Even when crowded, the place remains comfortable. So far the music choices are eclectic and artsy. It is about time Harrisburg has a nice place like this. Hopefully, Wine Down will be around for a while!
