  • First off be prepared to drop 1 Benjamin (aka $100.00) for 2 adults and 1 child just to be able to walk through the front door. And I am talking Aquarium only!! I was there for a work "family night" so luckily our outing was free. One big bummer was the other stuff was closed that I wanted to do like the butterflies, maze and laser tag. This campus is not geared toward working families because they roll up the sidewalks around 6 or 7 pm. How can one get off work around 4/5 then travel half way across the planet to get there in time before they close. Of course there is the weekend but if I'm going to drop some serious cash for the experience....NO CROWDS, thank you. Definitely plan your visit when you have time off work during the weekday and absolutely look into the "combo deals" because if you don't it could get very expensive. Make sure you visit the first floor ladies room before you hit the escalator up or else you will miss out on one of the best restrooms. The views into the Otters and Penguins are adorable but could be a bit better because you are lower than the top part of the display so if their are deep into their containment, you will not get a good view of them. I hope they are playful and active when you visit. There is a lot of fish of course and a few birds. Once you are in the "grand finale" you do receive very useful information and conservation stats. However, you are too far away from the sea tortoise's to really enjoy them especially if they are hanging out behind any prop rock and the sea lions seemed very cramped and cooped in their cloudy water. They deserve more room. The last thing you will see is of course the best most vivid to view is the sharks. This just made me think as to why.....because this will be the last thing you see and maybe you will forget about the cramped and cloudy water that the sea lions have to live in. I will agree with previous posts as in: tourist trap, fake plants, cloudy water, expensive/not affordable, no natural light, over packed, and lastly that I was glad to visit but once is enough.I can now check this off my bucket list, been there done that
