Another lucky groupon find! Woohoo for me and my skin tag free skin yeah! So I bought a groupon last year for one skin tag removal and it was very inexpensive I believe around $27 or less. Yes, I did pay the $25 for the lidocaine shot and it was well worth it. Dr. Kim is wonderful and the front office staff was very polite and efficient. I do see though how some people may be put off guard if they experience a less than divine red carpet entrance but come on most of the people working there are new grads or current students by what some staff told me. I don't really care as long as you can help me. I also did not worry too much because I only went for a small mole removal and not a more delicate procedure. Once I checked out I was bummed to find out that I was not able to purchase more groupons to return for more removals as they stated it was only for new clients. HOWEVER. . . I did mention that it was not in the "fine print" and details of the groupon and that it did not specify the quantity I could purchase. So there was a bit of miscommunication there. Still I did not want to press the issue at the time. Fast forward to a year and a half later and I decided to risk being rejected for the deal (since I was considered an established client) by purchasing the 5 skin tag removals for around $89 or so. I bought it when they had 20% off spa deals and I also used my Bing search points for a $5 groupon discount, score! I called them, was scheduled within a week and they reassured me that I was eligible for the deal after all. I spent $91 for the 5 skin tag removals with the lidocaine shot included. It was super quick, there was little pain and my skin is healing nicely. If you're curious, I went to the location on Dobson Rd and had the skin tags removed from my cheek, neck and arms.
*If you have never had this done before, they'll inject lidocaine (if you pay) into the surrounding area of the mole/skin tag to numb it, you'll feel a hot burning pinch while they stick you but that is the worst of it. Then either Dr. Kim himself or the other practitioner (forgot her name) will cut into your skin with a teeny weeny scalpel and then they use a sort of vacuum to pull out the skin tag from the roots I'm guessing and then they cauterize or burn your tiny hole that's left behind. Then they put some antibiotic on it and recommend you don't pick at it and protect it from the sun. Voila! You have bump free, smooth skin.
