I stayed in this place (Sedona specifically) for 9 days and I was miserable. I didn't even get to see a doctor until the day after I got here because apparently everything stops on the weekend which is absolutely ridiculous. I was told that I would get out Friday but didn't end up leaving until Monday because the doctors/social workers don't come in on the weekend. I did however see the billing lady before a doctor. Clearly they try to make you stay as long as they can to get more money out of you. Luckily I got a room to myself so I didn't have to deal with having a roommate but I did have to deal with the bathroom flooding every time I took a shower and having an earwig come out of the drain and somehow get into my bed! Thank god I wasn't in it, it was so disgusting. Speaking of disgusting, the food here is so gross. The groups are a joke unless you're going to AA/NA/HA and there aren't enough groups to keep you busy. I also thought it was weird that there was no one on one therapy? There is no discipline for patients that act out and I had a fellow patient say hurtful things about me/other patients and nothing was done about it. Some of the nurses were incredibly rude, one blonde nurse in particular that other patients have complained about was clearly gossiping with a tech when she gave me a dirty look and said "we're conversing" when I tried to ask her a question. Also after I packed up my things to leave I asked her what do I do now because no one told me what I needed to do before leaving and she rudely said "I don't care what you do" and repeated herself when I tried to explain. So disrespectful. I will say that the only saving grace in this place were some of the techs who were some of the coolest people and a few nice nurses and Dr. Riley who could clearly see my increased anxiousness from being here. Overall I would not reccomend this place for mental health services, though it doesn't seem to be so bad for detoxing from what I could see.
