| - This could have been total Vegas cheese, it was not! Here are some general rambling thoughts in no particular order. Great Live Band!!! 11 pieces of spot on, tight, musicianship. This is clearly a lower budget Vegas show that maximizes every nickel. Costumes are a bit sparse but still well done. The feathery dancing girls could use more elaborate gear, but again, this is not a big budget production and they pull off what they have to work with very well. The beginning and end had a very well crafted recreation of the Neon Bone Yard--adding vintage cred--, NBY also worth a visit when in town BTW. Unfortunately, the original numbers done during those periods are less than memorable--a minor complaint. The dancers and singers all did a terrific job. Sound quality in the theater was superior. Several surprises popped out during the show, outstanding tap dancers, a magician that did somewhat tired magic tricks, but executed them with freshness, and genuine trickery that will fool the most critical eye. An intimate 500ish seat theater makes every seat a good one. There was also a video montage that portrayed old school Vegas in a quite respectful, fun, and well thought out way. Even though this is likely considered a "B" show in Vegas, it still out performs some of the more recent disappointing Cirque shows such as Chris Angel's Believe, and Viva Elvis. OK, so here's the not so good stuff....Mundane original numbers performed at the beginning and the end, some of the cover songs they performed were edited or performed as a montage (which IS understandable due to time restraints), Choreography not the best (dancers still good). All of the other glowing reviews are absolutely correct. It's late, I'm tired and done. Ciao.
