Who does security for Crews and Tangos? If the bar wants to create a fun, party atmosphere, the security team ruins it. My friends and I went on Friday and even before going in, the guy doing the door was yelling at the line about "you better not show me fake ID". It was rude and unnecessary. Next I was frisked before going in without being asked or informed. When we were inside, security guys (in bullet proof vests?) physically moved (not hard but still, don't touch me) people in line waiting to go upstairs. Later when we wanted to go back inside after a smoke break, our friend wasn't allowed back in after being deemed too drunk. Quite the judgement call but if it had to be made, the outside security made it known to anyone and everyone on the street that they believed her to be intoxicated (what a shock - it's a bar). Not discreet - very unprofessional and shaming. Other than the heavy handed, intense security, the atmosphere and people seemed pretty peaceful. Not sure why they have thugs pushing the queers around. Never going again.
