Hertz is trying hard to rebrand itself with the new ultimate choice program they offer. In this program as you obtain status with Hertz you gain access to better and better cars. Instead of having to walk up to the counter you just walk over to your section and get in any car you want.
I travel a lot for work so I am currently a Presidents Circle Member. The top tier. My experience in Las Vegas has always been mixed.
This past trip I showed up and there were only 2 very large SUVs in there. Normally this wouldn't be an issue but one smelled like 10 packs of cigarettes and the other was a high mileage expedition.
1. The top tier program shouldn't have an empty section.
2. Luckily there was a attentive representative that saw me wondering the aisles and immediately went and retrieved a Chevy Tahoe for me. I was very happy he was there. Although he didn't have a name badge so I can't recognize him personally.
3. I love this new branding and effort that Hertz is putting into their offerings. However they need to heavily train their people on delivering clean cars in a timely professional fashion.
