| - I have a 3 year old Belgian Malinois (Dex) that has a great deal of energy but is very smart. I was having some obedience issues with him that I wanted to address in an official manner. I conducted a lot of research regarding dog trainers in the area. My goal was to find someone who possessed a great deal of expertise in training dogs, someone I could trust to get Dex on track with basic obedience and maybe teach him more advanced skills as well. My research led me to Off Leash K9. I read up on Willie Harrell, his vast experience with K9's and training, as well as the numerous positive reviews of his training programs. I contacted him and set Dex up for the two week in-house board and train program.
Dex started April 1st with one of Mr. Harrell's trainers, Daniel Clark. I was updated via E-mail and videos during the course of his training as to his progress. I was very impressed with how quickly he advanced in his training. When his training period was complete, last Saturday, I met with Mr. Clark and he went over Dex's new skills, as well as the training collar, in detail. Mr. Clark told me Dex was very smart and learned all of the basic skills in a couple days so he worked with him on some more advanced skills for the remainder of the program. He asked me several times as we went along if I felt comfortable with, and understood, what he was telling me. He went above and beyond to ensure I understood the instruction, the proper use of the collar, and Dex's new capabilities. He was genuinely concerned with making sure I had everything down.
Since Dex returned home, I've been working with him on his new skills to get him even more dialed in on some of the more advanced things he learned. Mr. Clark has checked up on us a few times already too since I got Dex back. I cannot express with enough emphasis how much the training program helped Dex, me, and my family. Prior to his training, Dex was always first to the door. He would do about 10 spins before I got there and would literally bash his face through the door on his way out and back in. Now he knows door manners...so he sits and waits until I give him the command before going out or coming in. He also knows sit, down, come, place, heel, touch, extended sit/down, come to heel and through. I'm so grateful to Off Leash K9, to Willie Harrell, and especially to Daniel Clark for training Dex and making him the accomplished and well-behaved dog he now is. I couldn't have done it without them. I highly recommend consideration of Off Leash K9 for your dog training needs. I certainly will look to them again in the future for any advanced training I wish to pursue with Dex.
Thank you Off Leash K9!
