  • DISH TV BEWARE! I live in Henderson. I signed up for dish tv in November 2015. They offered a 24 month contract with a guaranteed price lock. I took that with the 200 channel package. At the start, my monthly payment was around $81 a month. Adding $6 a month for the protection package, my monthly bill went to $87 a month in March 2017. No problem. Today, I get a call from a dish representive. he gives me this song and dance about some big company wants to buy out dish tv. Therefore, dish is making changes to all accounts including price lock accounts and raising the monthly charge for all people beginning next month. My bill is going up to $106 a month. They are terminating my 24 month price locked contract early and jacking up the monthly price, even though it has another 3 months to go. They are doing this to all contracts because, they want their revenue to be higher, so this company will buy up dish tv. I told the representive, that dish could be sued for doing this and he said "I guess so". My theory happens to be, that the only other competitor to dish is direct tv and I can say, they are even worse than dish, so they figure people won't be leaving for direct. he did acknowledge, that they are losing customers left and right due to the increases in monthly billing. You need to know who you are dealing with before you agree to anything with dish tv.
