| - I was skeptical, I've seen many places come and go in the Shea 14 plaza, most I dont miss but I feel Sip has got the tastey food and an amazing beer selection.
The coffee is for people who like COFFEE not Carmel frappuccinos or white chocolate mint espressos, go to Starbucks for that. SIP's coffee baristas treat coffee making like an art where the medium is the coffee itself and not 50 grams of sugar plus whip cream. And don't worry if you have a bunch of questions, the baristas and staff love to educate people on TRUE coffee. You can come in for an exceptional cup of coffee and leave with the beginnings of a new passion either 'in the bean' or 'in the brew', as they have such a amazing list of unique beers, you'll be a fool not to try every one with an interesting name, ask for a free taste but I guarantee that won't be enough!
The food is so good! Make sure you come in on the weekend and try the brunch menu, the 'breakfast poutine ' is a dreambreakfast mixture of fries, chorizo gravy (DELICIOUS GRAVY), and a fried egg mixture is irresistible, I'm going to be coming back pretty regularly for that.
Everyone is really nice and if you have any questions or special requests, they seem more than happy to help you out. Whether it be questions about what a 'cortado' is ? Or what kind of hops are used in that raccoon one? It's a very fun experience. Plus the decor is super cool.
