  • Read about the grand opening online and had to come check it out. It's always good to see an average joe break into the "nano" brewery industry. I had the pleasure of talking with the owner, Chris about how he got this joint up and running. Definitely the kind of guy you want running a bar, great to talk to. Although there's definitely competition in the Charlotte area, their beer does stand out. I was surprised with the number of different styles they had, was expecting less. Getting the flight was a smart move, and modestly priced. A fan favorite for me was the Bourbon stout, but generally enjoyed everything on the flight. The venue is ok. I'd definitely like to see these guys grow into a bigger space. They've done a good job with the interior design. The atmosphere is pretty relaxed- especially if you're making use of the couch area. Generally, a great place to hang out, socialize, and have some pretty decent beer. Even better if you live in the area and don't want to hang out with the meat heads up at Rudder.
