| - I had been waiting to come here for months. It first opened and I was pregnant and bitter I couldn't partake in their vast gin list. Then I had a newborn and was going crazy with adjusting. Finally, things settled down and the time had come to visit and I'm happy to report I was very happy!
The restaurant itself is gorgeous. I love the design. It's funky and cozy. I was mesmerized by the light up bar. Yes, the bar lights up! But not in a cheesy neon way, you just have to see it for yourself.
The cocktail menu is extensive. There's A LOT of drinks to be drunk. If you're not a gin fan, they do have other alcohol, but clearly the focus is gin. If you're a gin lover, you'll be in heaven! I can never pass up a negroni, and so I tried one of those to start with. It was a nice balance between all ingredients. Then I tried the spicy hell or high water with a spicy chili infused gin. So good!
For dinner we split a handful of things like the lamb lollipops were perfectly cooked, the gobi manchurian (crispy chickpea battered cauliflower) had a fab spicy sauce on top and the malai kofta was solid. We also split the main dish, a tikka masala. It's a hearty helping and really tasty. For my gluten free friends, everything I got was already naturally GF and the only thing I had to leave off was the english biscuit in the tikki masala. They actually brought out the dish with the biscuits and made me a new one, which is super kind!
The service was very friendly and prompt and I'm really looking forward to making this my neighborhood haunt.
